NetComm chooses Sequans’ 4G Technology for TD-LTE Connectivity
It has been announced that high performance broadband device provider NetComm has chosen Sequans’ 4G technology for a solution to TD-LTE connectivity.
According to recent reports NetComm, which is a leading provider of high performance broadband devices, has selected Sequans’ 4G technology as a solution for TD-LTE connectivity. Sequans, a 4G chip manufacturer, is said to have entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with NetComm and its technology will be used in the LTE devices that NetComm builds for the National Broadband Network in Australia.
It is reported that a growing number of TD-SCDMA and WiMAX networks are moving towards TD-LTE, and this offers both consumers and businesses a range of valuable benefits, such as increased throughput and peak data rates, extended coverage and low latency.
Sequans officials commented on the new collaboration stating that its products would provide excellent efficiency levels. Georges Karam, Sequans CEO, said: “We are very pleased to collaborate with NetComm on delivering high performance 4G wireless devices to consumers. Our LTE chipsets are designed to provide super high speed LTE connectivity with very high efficiency.”
