Most people know just how invaluable reliable, high speed broadband can be, not just on a personal level for use by individuals but also by way of aiding the success and potential of businesses by enabling them to compete more easily. Improved broadband is a form of technology that most agree can help to revive flagging economies in a number of ways.

A recently released digital strategy for western New South Wales has highlighted how better broadband technology will help outback Australia when it comes to improving the economy. The report states that improvements with this technology will make it easier for outback Australia to compete on a global basis and could help to revitalize the community.

The strategy has been launched by Regional Development Australia and Broken Hill City Council. A spokesperson stated that improved internet technology could have many benefits for the region and is now calling for feedback on the recently released strategy, which is available via the Internet.

She said: “The internet is the future. The internet is something that enables the future to take shape and it presents opportunities to people in business, in their personal growth, in their professional careers and certainly for older people the internet is something that enables them to keep in contact with family.”
