According to reports the Australian broadband router manufacturer Billion has once again topped the 2011 Australian Broadband Survey. This marks the sixth year that the manufacturer has topped the poll as provider of Australia’s most popular broadband hardware in this survey, which was held by tech site Whirlpool.

Over twenty three thousand broadband consumers completed the survey over the course of January of this year. Nearly twenty four percent of those responding to the survey voted for Billion as their broadband modem favourite. The second most popular received only 13.6 percent of votes, illustrating the huge lead that Billion took and has taken for the last half a decade. The survey was carried out over a four week period up until the 1st February this year. Officials involved in the survey said that those responding to the survey were people that were likely to be recommending services to friends, family, and colleagues, so providers should pay careful attention due to the huge impact that the survey can have.

There were sixteen modem models that were listed in the survey in total and seven of these were Billion modems. The most popular Billion modems according to the survey results were the Billion BiPAC 7800N, the Billion BiPAC 7404VNPX and Billion BiPAC 7401GPR3. More than ninety percent of those that were using Billion modems said that they were either satisfied or very satisfied with the quality of the hardware.
