Free access to Telstra complaints and customer service lines.
A new initiative to improve the level of service to customers will see nearly 50 million service and support calls made available completely free of charge by telecommunications giant, Telstra.
In an effort to make it easier for Telstra customer to make complaints or resolved customer service issues the telecoms provider will be given completely free access to the most frequently used customer support numbers.
Telstra have announced that under this new initiative customers and small businesses in Australia calling from their Telstra mobile or their Telstra home phone will get free access to a whole range of phone numbers belonging to Telstra including the general service number for pre-paid mobile, its fault line and the BigPond helpdesk. At present customers already have free access to calls to activate and recharge pre-paid accounts.
A number of potential improvements to customer service at Telstra were apparently reviewed prior to the launch of the new initiative and when people were asked what they thought was the most important it was this initiative that came out on top.
After the announcement of the initiative Telstra have advised that they welcome any feedback that customers have regarding this or any other initiative and will really listen and act on things that customers comment on. The feedback that Telstra have received so far regarding this new initiative has been mostly encouraging and according to Telstra, gives it a clear indication of what must be done to improve in terms of products, price and services.
This latest move by Telstra to improve customer service levels is something that many of the network operators throughout Australia are looking into in an effort to enhance their overall image and make themselves more appealing to customers in a market that is becoming incredibly competitive.
