For residents and businesses in the Harden area there is some good news. The communications giant Telstra has recently announced that people and companies in the area would be able to benefit from enhanced broadband services as a result of a new Next G base station that had been installed in the area.

According to Telstra Country Wide general manager for Capital South East, Chris Taylor, the company has been working with the local community and gathering feedback about the improvements that locals wanted when it came to their mobile broadband services.

Taylor stated: “People in Harden will experience improved coverage with their Next G mobile phones and modems in the town, following the installation of the base station. This enhanced coverage is the direct result of both Telstra’s ongoing investment in the Next G network and local customer feedback and will provide significant benefits to the local community and business.”

The installation of the Next G base station has been welcomed by many including Federal Member for Hume, Alby Schultz who said: “My office has worked with Telstra to address local constituent feedback concerning mobile coverage in the Harden area.” He also said that residents would be better connected to their friends and family and that businesses would be able to perform more efficiently as a result of the improvements and installation.
