iinet 250x152 Terabyte data quota launched by iiNetBroadband and communications giant iiNet has recently announced the launch of the Terabyte data quota for its customers, who will be the first in Australia to enjoy the new age of the Terabyte.

It has been announced by the broadband and communications giant iiNet that its customers are to become the first in Australia to enjoy the new age of the Terabyte. iiNet has announced that its customers will be able to have a monthly data quota of one terabyte, which equates to one million megabytes.

The announcement came just shortly after the Internet Service Provider announced its 2010 annual results, which included a twenty seven percent increase in subscriber services. Michael Malone from iiNet said that the decision to launch the terabyte data quota was further proof that the company was committed to leading innovation in the communications sector in Australia.

Mr Malone stated: “iiNet is moving Australian broadband forward. We’ve built a high performance network over the past five years, including great long term deals with our suppliers. We have oodles of bandwidth and it’s about time we used it.We’ve always focused on great customer service, innovative products and leading the market. We were first to introduce Naked DSL, then BoB™ – our all‐in‐one wireless home hub combining the phone and internet – and then just a few months ago we launched Australia’s first national IPTV with fetchtv. Today we continue to lead the market with our latest innovation – Australia’s first one terabyte plan. It’s backed up by the best customer service, our high performance network and a reputation for delivering. This isn’t about big plans, it’s about sustainable plans.”

He added that the data quota was part of a new range of simplified plans, and that the new plans would be made available from 21st August, with existing Naked DSL customers automatically receiving the new higher quota at no extra charge.
