Residents in Perth encouraged to switch to iiNet broadband
Last week saw Australian broadband and communications giant iiNet trying to encourage dissatisfied customers with rival providers to switch over to the iiNet broadband service.
Many people in Australia are dissatisfied with their broadband and communications provider, and this could be for one of a number of reasons from poor customer service or poor quality of service to overpriced services. Whilst some people tend to switch provider if they are not happy with the service that they are getting there are others that don’t take action and instead put up with sub-standard services.
However, one provider has been encouraging residents in Perth to switch from rival providers if they are not happy with the service. Australian broadband provider iiNet encouraged consumers with rival providers to pick up their phones last week and switch to an iiNet package if they were not happy with the service that they were receiving.
iiNet ran a Divorce Your ISP Day last week, and prior to the big day an official from the firm said: “We’ve listened to local residents and research has found that iiNet is the most considered brand amongst people who would like to switch. Our $100 incentive to switch this Friday will make the process of exiting a contract far less costly. We pride ourselves on customer service and value the contribution our customers bring to our business. Divorce your ISP Day gives Perth residents an opportunity to become part of the iiNet family.”
A survey was carried out by iiNet with regards to customer dissatisfaction levels with other Internet service providers, and the results revealed that 55% stated that existing contracts and costly exit fees were among the key reasons for not changing their provider.
