Broadband specialist secures right to distribute FRITZ!Box ADSL2+ router

According to reports broadband specialist PCRange has secured the exclusive rights to distribute the innovative FRITZ!Box ADSL2+ router in Australia, and this will first be made available via Internode.

It has been revealed that the feature-rich Home and SOHO ADSL2+ router ever offered in Australia, the FRITZ!Box, is to be distributed exclusively by the broadband specialist PCRange, and will be first available from the communications and broadband giant Internode. The router will support both ADSL2+ and Ethernet WAN upstream connections, and official say that it will allow for easy migration to NBN or other Fibre to the Home networks.

The router, which is developed by the German company AVM, will offer a great range of features, and it supports the supports the ADSL2+ Annex M protocol, which allows for much faster upload speeds, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wireless LANs with full encryption, a built-in DECT cordless handset base station, two wired VoIP handset ports and a “lifeline” voice port, plus much more. It also offers HD (High Definition) Voice for increased quality.
