Broadband and communications provider launches IT challenge
Australian broadband and communications provider, Optus, recently launched its Ultimate IT Challenge, which is aimed at IT teams across the country encouraging them to demonstrate innovation and teamwork within an IT environment.
The Ultimate IT Challenge has been launched by the broadband and communications giant Optus, and the challenge is aimed at IT teams across the country, encouraging them to show innovation and teamwork within the IT environment. The competition will close in the middle of January next year, and is open to Australian businesses of any size who want to recognise and reward innovation and teamwork within their IT teams.
The prize for winner of the challenge would be a share of one hundred thousand dollars worth of Optus products and services, or alternatively businesses could choose to have funding to promote their businesses. The challenge will result in four total winners, which will include the IT teams from one enterprise and three small or medium businesses. There will also be a people’s choice award and this will be determined by the public.
Scott Mason, Director of Fixed Products, Marketing and Strategy, Optus Business, said “Optus has launched this competition to celebrate innovation and teamwork amongst IT teams across Australia, from large enterprise IT departments to two-person teams supporting smaller businesses. We’re looking to reward IT teams that have addressed business challenges in an innovative way, whether it be the unique application of a particular technology or process improvement.”
Phil Offer, Marketing Director of Optus Small and Medium Business, added “IT teams are often the ‘unsung heroes’ working tirelessly behind the scenes so the Ultimate IT Challenge is an opportunity for their innovative work to get publicly recognised. We’re also looking to ignite the finalists’ competitive spirit by giving them the chance to spend a day out of the office to play tennis, rugby or football with the country’s top sporting talent. To help businesses conquer their future IT challenges, we’re offering Optus products and services as a prize option.”
