Optus chooses Nokia Siemens to help with growing mobile broadband demand
Communications and broadband giant, Optus, has reportedly chosen Nokia Siemens to help it to gear up for the growing demand for mobile broadband services.
Mobile broadband services have proven very effective when it comes to providing consumers and business users with access to flexibility and convenience in terms of getting online. With mobile broadband casual and business users are able to get online with ease whilst out and about, making it easier to surf, communicate, have fun, or continue with business whilst on the go.
The demand for mobile broadband services is on the rise, and with network capacity starting to come under strain this is putting pressure on mobile network providers to make improvements to adapt to the growing number of people that want to benefit from these services. This is something that one Australian mobile operator is planning to do with a little help.
It has been reported that Optus has chosen Nokia Siemens to help it to handle growing demand for mobile broadband. The deal is a multimillion dollar one and will provide Optus with the flexibility to provide increased bandwidth to customers in order to meet this growing demand.
Nokia Siemens will provide a number of platforms and features to help Optus to ensure that it can meet the increased demand for increasing data traffic demand and for access to services. It will address growing requirements, offer new data services, and improve time to market according to reports.
