Complete Home Bundles range released by Telstra
Australian communications giant Telstra recently announced the launch of its Complete Home Bundles range, which comes with twice the broadband data allowance of the previous bundles.
There is some good news for Telstra customers that like to spend a lot of time online. The communications giant announced recently that it is releasing a new Complete Home Bundles range, which will come with twice the broadband data allowance as the previous plans – something that will appeal hugely to those that spend a lot of time online.
This is said to be the second data increase in the space of a year, which according to Telstra is indicative of the way in which the online use of Australians continues to grow.
Telstra Consumer Executive Director, Rebekah O’Flaherty, stated: “Telstra research last year found that the average Australian home had four net-connected devices. But in the past year, half of those homes have added at least one more.” She added: “We’ve seen an increase in activities such as movie downloads and video streaming via T-Boxes and internet connected TVs, particularly among younger families, on top of more traditional activities such as accessing news, weather and social networking. This year’s study has also shown Australians are giving wi-fi a work-out at home. Traditionally, wi-fi was used to connect to the net while on-the-go. However, today 40 per cent of households have used wi-fi to connect their data hungry devices – such as smartphones and tablets – to their home internet allowance.”
She went on to state: “Telstra’s new bundles reflect what our customers tell us they want as everyone from my grandmother to my daughter finds more and more ways to use the internet. The ‘connected home’ is a reality for many Australians and Telstra’s bundles have helped bring this to life by combining the home phone, high-speed broadband, entertainment services and Telstra home devices like the T-Hub or T-Box.”
